Iran, Russia stress on expansion of bilateral cooperation in fighting COVID-19

Namaki appreciated Russia for sending aid to Iran, saying Tehran wants to share experience and cooperate with Moscow amid the global coronavirus pandemic.
"It is necessary to expand cooperation and share experience between Iran and Russia in the fight against the coronavirus," Namaki said.
Namaki also called for supporting efforts of the World Health Organization and told Murashko about the measures Iran took to combat the spread of COVID-19.
The Russian minister, for his part, said that Moscow and Tehran are cooperating in the area of health care, including on the COVID-19 vaccine research.
Murashko elaborated on the medical and health measures taken by Russia, especially in controlling borders, equipping hospitals and drawing health protocols.
He also lauded strategic relations between Iran and Russia.
The Russian minister underscored developing mutual cooperation in health, research, medicine and vaccine fields.
